Mr Thomas’s Chop House was founded in 1867 by chef Thomas Studd and his wife Sarah. Over 150 years later, Tom’s is still serving the people of Manchester and its visitors with fresh home-cooked food, championing their motto “Best of British”.
Famous for their 10-day in the making corned beef hash and steak and kidney puddings, the Chop Houses use fresh local ingredients to create hearty British comfort food. Menus are changed seasonally to reflect the best produce available to the chefs.
The bar stocks a wide range of draught lager, cask ale and bottled beverages and boasts an award-winning wine list curated by legendary Manchester sommelier, George Bergier.
Still an independent family run business to this day, Mr Thomas’s Chop House is a cosy trip back in time perfect for the weary Manchester wanderer.
