One of the finest Georgian houses in Shrewsbury, Hardwick House offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a fabulously central location. The property is Grade II* listed but is eminently comfortable, offering character and history alongside very modern comforts. Though it’s right in the heart of town the walled garden is a peaceful haven, with a magnificent brick-built octagonal summer house that is separately listed in its own right. There’s no better Shrewsbury home. There are two handsome and spacious double bedrooms that can be arranged either as twin rooms or as super-king doubles, each with en-suite bathrooms. Beds are dressed with white cotton bed linens and rooms are equipped with TVs and hospitality trays. The Oak bedroom is a spacious double noted for its Georgian wood paneling. The Acorn room, with painted paneling, is also large and adjoins a further twin bedroom: these can be booked at the same time in which case the two rooms share the bathroom. This is ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together as it forms a very comfortable suite. There is, of course, wifi throughout.
