Carrer de Sant Joan, 4, Palma Mallorca, Illes Balears, 07012
In the heart of Palma you will find this stylish restaurant and cocktail bar owned by brothers Carlos and Christian Baqués. The well-known restaurant is located in a 14th century building that still retains some of the features revealing its past history as the bakery for the La Lonja locality.
The interiors are a blend of original Mallorcan architectural features and contemporary styling – including some striking modern art.
Open for lunch and dinner, they offer exquisite à la carte and tapas menus, and a very good-value weekly set lunch menu.
Forn de Sant Joan has a good reputation for creative Mediterranean cuisine and some of Palma’s best tapas, which you can enjoy in one of their three distinct dining spaces: the ‘Main Room’ (where bread dough was once made), ‘Cristal Room’ (with chandeliers) and romantic top-floor ‘Red Room’.
The wine cellar is stocked with an impressive selection of Mallorcan wines. Service is slick and professional.
The stylish and entertaining ground-floor bar is a place to enjoy delicious cocktails, and where you’ll see photos of the celebrities who have visited Forn.
