Easington House is a very English Guest House offering comfortable accommodation and serving traditional English Breakfast and Afternoon Tea. It is centuries old and reputed to be one of the oldest buildings in Banbury. Originally an old farmhouse built mainly of the local Horton Stone, it is of particular interest to overseas visitors. The House has charm and character with numerous fireplaces, exposed timbers and beams, stone flooring and wood panelling. The site itself is believed to date back to the 12th Century and is steeped in history. Previous owners, we understand, include The Bishop of Lincoln, The Reverend Risley Cotton and George Washington's nephew. Indeed, George Washington's house, Sulgrave Manor is only a few miles away.
