9 Crown Street, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 1QU
The town of Bury St Edmunds, originally called Beodericsworth, was built on a grid pattern by Abbot Baldwin around 1080. Crownplace is situated on the edge of the grid, giving guests access to this beautiful market town, shops and the historic Abbey Gardens, all within a few minutes walk. The property is opposite St Marys Church and the nearby Cathedral, The Norman Tower and the well-known Greene King brewery, offering tours & tastings. An hour from the coast and 45 mins from Cambridge, plus many other interesting local sites & attractions to visit including Sutton Hoo, featured in the recent movie 'The Dig', Tetford Forest and Ickworth House, National Trust Property. Due to our location there are a huge variety of restaurants, bars and cafes to enjoy within just a few minutes walk within the thriving market town. As the custodians of this Grade II listed Georgian building we take great pleasure in sharing it with our guests. We take pride in presenting all our available rooms to the highest possible standard and thrive on the positive feedback we receive. Our aim is to welcome all of our guests personally, to make them feel totally at ease, so they can enjoy their stay.
