Yesterday, we headed to the wonderful Grand Theatre in Blackpool with a very excited 3-year-old to see The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show.
The show features a menagerie of 75 incredible puppets who faithfully tell the tale of four of Eric Carle's best-loved books. As the show was celebrating the 50th Anniversary, two NEW stories: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, and 10 Little Rubber Ducks were told. Along with the return of The Very Lonely Firefly and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
From our perspective, the show was beautifully put together and these classic stories were magically retold. However, we're more interested in hearing what our mini theatre enthusiast 'Miss M' had to say...
How do you feel when you go to the theatre?
I get so happy because it's so much fun. I love the big stage and there are lots of other happy children too.
Which show did you go to see?
The Hungry Caterpillar and they told even more stories. I hadn't heard them but Mummy's going to get me the book now.
What was your favourite bit in the show?
When the funny caterpillar turned into a butterfly. It was so great!
Which puppet did you like best?
The caterpillar because it would always pop out!
Which story did you like?
The Hungry Caterpillar story of course!
How did you feel watching the show?
So happy! I got ice cream too.
