James McAvoy will star in an adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac at London's Playhouse Theatre.
It has been announced James McAvoy will star in a new adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac. Previews of the play will open at the Playhouse Theatre on 27th November. The official opening night will on the 6th December, with a limited run until 29th February 2020.
Cyrano de Bergerac will be directed by Jamie Lloyd who is working on a season of work, which will run from November 2019 to August 2020 at the Playhouse.
Cyrano de Bergerac was originally written by Edmond Rostand. The play dramatises the life of a 17th-century French playwright and novelist whose works challenged the upstanding morals in society.
Tickets for Cyrano de Bergerac are not yet on sale.
Cyrano de Bergerac tickets will go on sale in September.
